Picture a small-town market square in the mountains of southern Poland, packed with cars from half a dozen countries and three different eras. A Soviet Volga of the kind the KGB secretly fitted with a V8. A Beetle that shifts gears without a clutch pedal. A Chrysler whose big-block displaces as much as eight and a half Polish Syrenas put together. We start with the oldest technology on the lot, wood and stone, and finish with eight cylinders. Come along for the walk.

On Sunday 11 October, the Municipal Market Square in Sucha Beskidzka, in southern Poland, once again turned into a motoring journey back in time. The Moto Szroty Association invited everyone to a gathering closing the 2026 season, and far more people came than anyone had expected.

In a world that moves so fast that news from an hour ago is already history, it is easy to forget words that carry real weight. Yet in the church in Bieńkówka, a village in southern Poland, time seems to flow to a different rhythm.

Like earlier moving productions in our parish, such as the Parish Christmas Nativity Play and the show “What Happened in Bethlehem?”, this year's “Greccio” mystery play turned out to be far more than a parish custom. It was a return to the roots, brought to life by the local community.
